Cough Lozenges

Take powdered ipecacuanha, 25 grs.; kermes mineral, 50 grs.; sulphate of morphia, 8 grs.; powdered white sugar, gum arabic, and extract of liquorice, of each 1 1-2 oz.; oil of anise, 20 drops; syrup of tolu sufficient to work into mass form, roll out and cut into 160 lozenges.

Dose-one, 3 times a day; or it may be preferable to use the
cough candy, from the recipe below.
